Emergency Medical Technician Program

Emergency Medical Services Program 2020-2021

Northwest Technical College, Bemidji

Service Description

This Course will prepare you to pass the National Registry of EMTs certification process and will teach you how to provide prehospital assessment and care for patients of all ages with a wide variety of medical conditions and traumatic injuries. Areas of study will include, but are not limited to, an introduction to emergency medical services systems, roles and responsibilities of the EMT, anatomy and physiology, treatment of medical and trauma emergencies, CPR and AED use, special considerations for working in the challenging prehospital setting, how to provide safe patient transport, and much more. This course is approved by the Minnesota Emergency Medical Services Regulatory Board and meets the current US Department of Transportation Emergency Medical Technician curriculum. Sign up today as seating is limited for this exciting class. Class will be held every Monday and Thursday nights 6PM - 10PM at Northwest Technical College in Bemidji starting October 19th, 2019. The final day of class will be toward begining of March 2021.
